Hey guys! It’s been quite a while since I’ve been able to get back to writing. It’s because I have been out of my comfort zone and facing struggles that come with it. Let’s chat.

It’s easy to get to a point in our lives where we just want to stop. Stop learning, stop growing, stop changing. But that’s not how God designed us. It’s like our relationship with Him; we aren’t designed to know God and then keep on living our lives without Him. We should be in constant pursuit of the relationship we have with Him so we can grow. Life’s like that too.

Almost 2 months ago, I started my first full-time job right out of college. When I say this job fell right into my lap, it really did! Many things have happened since that have disrupted my complacency in life. I moved an hour from home so I could commute closer to work, and I’ve had a lot of maturing to do. Since I’m at a new company, we have had a rough start with lots of inconsistencies. I’m trying to spare you the details, but hopefully you get the point.

In order for me to continue to grow as a person and professional, I have to trust that God will guide and protect me outside of my comfort zone. This isn’t much, but I hope that this reminder will help those of you that may be in a similar situation. I think that COVID-19 has pushed us all out of our comfort level at some point.

Here’s a verse I want to leave with you that comforts me. Lamentations 3:22-24 says, “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.’The Lord is my portion,’ says my soul, ‘therefore I will hope in him.'”

Peace be with you.
